Tempress Systems, the solar subsidiary of Amtech Systems, Inc., received a large, multisystem order for its next-generation solar diffusion systems from a leading solar cell and module manufacturer in China. The systems are expected to ship within the next three to nine months. Amtech is a global supplier of production equipment and related supplies for solar, semiconductor, and LED markets, and Tempress focuses on POCl3 and BBr3 (Boron) diffusion.
“After successful implementa-tion of approximately 400 megawatts (MW) of HD-POCl3 systems at a top-tier Taiwanese cell pro-ducer, we are proud to announce an order of approximately 800 MW for our atmospheric high-throughput diffusion system,” said Fokko Pentinga, chief Executive Officer of Amtech. “This new order came from one of the most technologically advanced cell producers in China.
