Array’s DuraTrack HZ v3 commissioned in Northern New Mexico

Array Technologies, Inc. (ATI) has commissioned a 1.3 MW DC solar plant for the Springer Electric Cooperative located in northern New Mexico. Even more notably, this will be one of the first showcases of the recently launched single-axis tracking system, the DuraTrack HZ v3. The patent-pending tracking system minimizes upfront and lifetime costs, as well as maximizing production uptime through high reliability. The v3 enables a low levelized cost of electricity, including a passive wind mitigation and self-calibration system that eliminates the need for active stow, effectively increasing survivability and reducing unexpected maintenance.

“Partnering with forward thinking organizations is vitally important to us as an industry leader in order to expand the penetration of solar energy to communities across the country,” said Ron Corio, ATI founder and CEO. “Springer Electric Cooperative has proven to be a group focused on delivering sustainable and reliable electricity to its customers for years to come.”

A ribbon cutting ceremony was held on May 26 to celebrate the solar plant’s official interconnection to the electricity grid.
