Beaumont Solar goes with unionized electricians to build its workforce

Beaumont Solar, a full-service solar developer and Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) company, made a big move by signing an agreement with the IBEW Local 223 — a labor organization that represents unionized electricians in the Southeastern Massachusetts region.

Beaumont solarWhy this is a good move

Working with qualified, local, licensed electricians enables Beaumont Solar to quickly scale, provide guaranteed construction and workmanship with predictable costs to customers. All IBEW Local 223 members are MA licensed electricians, or registered electrical apprentices. By signing this agreement with Local 223, Beaumont has a workforce that is OSHA certified and meets CORI certification requirements. All work is performed by licensed Journeymen and apprentices, with a ratio based on state licensure requirements, so there is never any question of accountability. With this partnership, it enables Beaumont to be productive and scalable on each and every project.
