Estes Express, Dynamic Energy Install Two Solar Projects in Maryland

Dynamic Energy recently completed two solar photovoltaic (PV) installations totaling 583 kW for Estes Express Lines. The installations included a 308 kW system at Estes’ Elkton, MD terminal and a 275 kW system at Estes’ Baltimore, MD terminal. Dynamic Energy, a full service energy solutions provider servicing Maryland, New York, New Jersey, and other states, provided turnkey services including engineering, procurement and construction for the projects.

The projects will provide an estimated 93 percent of the current electricity needed by the two facilities. The Elkton terminal will produce 360,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity annually through 1,232 rooftop solar panels. In Baltimore, solar power will generate 321,430 kilowatt-hours of electricity per year through 1,100 rooftop panels. Combined, this is the equivalent of powering 76 homes annually.

“We are thrilled to have helped Estes Express realize their goals of reducing their carbon footprint and owning multiple solar systems throughout the State of Maryland,” said Michael Perillo, CEO of Dynamic.

The Elkton terminal solar power system was fully interconnected with DELMARVA Power and the Baltimore terminal was interconnected with Baltimore Gas & Electric.
