Lifeline Data Centers has maintained an ongoing interest in solar power and has investigated several options for installing a large array of solar panels. Through a long-term partner relationship with Indianapolis Power & Light and with New Generation Power of Chicago, Lifeline Data Centers will implement the utility-grade 4-MW solar power generation facility that will provide data center power for a projected 25 years.

The solar panels will be located on the Eastgate campus building rooftops and above several sections of the parking lot.

Lifeline Data Centers joins the likes of Apple, eBay, Facebook, and Cisco in the adoption of solar power as a clean and renewable data center power source that reduces dependence on the commercial power grid. Lifeline co-owner Alex Carroll said: “I am very proud that Lifeline Data Centers is one of the first large independent data center facilities in the country to be largely powered by solar energy.”

Lifeline Data Centers is a high tech landlord with both data center and office space available. It offers highly compliant data centers, simple pricing and room for growth and change. For more information, visit http://www.lifelinedatacenters.com/.
