Star Energy Partners expands to Pennsylvania

Star Energy Partners PennsylvaniaEnergy provider Star Energy Partners has expanded its service territory to include Pennsylvania. Residential and commercial energy consumers within the PPL and PECO service areas now have more choice and control over their energy costs through Star Energy Partners’ fixed-rate, price-protected options. In the coming months, the company will offer service throughout the state when it extends its service to Duquesne Light and First Energy Pennsylvania customers.

Star Energy Partners’ green options include energy generated from renewable sources such as solar, wind, biomass and hydro power. For every megawatt hour Star customers use, the company purchases Renewable Energy Credits (RECs) to support the ongoing investment in clean, renewable energy and reduced dependence on carbon-emitting fossil fuels.

“We believe that consumers in Pennsylvania should have more choices not only in their utility rate, but also in the impact that their choice will have on the environment,” said Tony Banks, Chief Executive Officer of Star Energy Partners. “We’re pleased to offer energy plans that are competitively priced at a fixed rate and that provide green energy alternatives that reduce the carbon footprint of our customers.”

Star Energy Partners has operated in Ohio since 2012, providing money-saving energy solutions and a variety of green energy options. The move into Pennsylvania utility service territories is part of Star’s multi-year expansion plan in the Midwest, Mid-Atlantic and Northeast states.
