SunLink grows executive roster with VP of operations, head of electrical engineering

SunLink Corp. continues to grow its executive bench strength with the addition of Vincent Sang as vice president of operations and Daniel Grill as head of electrical engineering.

SunLink-Logo“As an energy solutions company, SunLink is focused on optimizing every factor that contributes to making an energy project successful,” explains SunLink CEO Michael Maulick. “Today, superior product design is a baseline requirement. Real industry leadership requires going beyond the best products to also offer operational sophistication that improves the customer experience and simplifies project delivery, and advanced electrical and software solutions that make O&M predictably cost effective and improve energy production. We’re investing in these areas as a means to improve the long-term economics of solar projects and ultimately make more projects happen. We’re very excited to have Vincent and Daniel’s expertise on the team to help lead our efforts.”

Vincent Sang comes to SunLink with decades of expertise in the areas of global strategic sourcing, 3PL management, procurement, logistics, supply chain management, contract negotiations, supplier audit and related areas.

“I see a tremendous opportunity for SunLink to further optimize its supply chain to the benefit of our customers from both a pricing and seamless experience perspective,” said Vincent. “The ability of the solar industry to scale rapidly rests largely on the shoulders of those of us in operations, and I’m excited to be part of deepening the expertise on the SunLink team and accelerating our operational excellence.”

Prior to SunLink, Daniel Grill spent two decades in the automotive industry advancing research in mobile computing, telematics and applied data analytics and establishing data-enabled Connected Car services for Mercedes-Benz and Chrysler. He further built up a competence center for in-vehicle app development for all Mercedes-Benz and smart cars globally that earned high acclaim for customer-centric services.

“SunLink is the first solar company to harness the power of dynamic design to improve product performance and energy generation, and I’m eager to put my automotive industry data-enabled design experience to work to fast-track the company’s future dynamic design innovation,” said Daniel. “I have been engaged in industry transformation via connected products throughout my career in the automotive sector. In the same way that today’s automobiles react in real time to their environment, so too should energy systems. Leveraging the advances made by the auto industry to benefit alternative energy is a very exciting prospect.”
