Unlike rebar and other forms of reinforcement, Helix 8-50 Twisted Steel Micro Rebar allows for efficient tensile stress re-distribution within concrete prior to concrete cracking. Product has nominal length of 2 in. and equivalent diameter of 0.30 in., which meets ASTM A820 – Type I specification. Technology uses continuous deformation along length of shaft in form of twisted ribs, providing continuous anchorage in concrete as opposed to smooth steel fibers that rely on small end hooks.
