A couple of weeks ago a tiny NYC apartment was transformed to make the most of the available space and provide very comfortable living for the owners. A sliding wall was used to make it possible to separate the living space from the sleeping space, making it easy to change the apartment’s functionality from daytime to nighttime activities.
The finished product was dubbed the 5:1 Apartment and it measures only 390 square feet (36 sq m). It was designed by the architectural firm MKCA and is located in a 1920s co-op building in Manhattan. The finished apartment is very bright thanks to white walls and the bright LEDs, which both help to create the appearance of spaciousness. The apartment also features a minimalistic layout.
