The solar industry, more than most, has a focus on giving back when it can. Microinverter manufacturer APsystems is going to donate $1 for every microinverter purchased to Extend the Day, a charity organization which gives solar reading lights to school children in disadvantaged countries with no access to electricity. The donations here will be used by the nonprofit to cover all administrative expenses for its Lights for Learning program in 2017.
