Aurora Solar announced that Jigar Shah and Bernadette Del Chiaro will be the keynote speakers for the solar software vendor’s fourth annual Empower event. Shah and Del Chiaro will share how the solar community can best manage complexity and change during challenging economic events and turn it into an opportunity, as well as an outlook on California’s solar and storage market post-NEM 3.0, respectively.
Shah is the director of the loan programs office at the Department of Energy. Shah was most recently co-founder and President at Generate Capital, where he focused on helping entrepreneurs accelerate decarbonization solutions through the use of low-cost infrastructure-as-a service financing. Prior to Generate Capital, Shah founded SunEdison. Del Chiaro is the long-time head of the California Solar & Storage Association.
The virtual event takes place Aug. 16 at 9 am PST.
“With the challenging market conditions facing the solar industry today, staying agile and adaptive will be critical for success in 2023,” said Christopher Hopper, co-founder and CEO, Aurora Solar. “That’s why we’re thrilled to welcome Jigar Shah and Bernadette Del Chiaro as Empower 2023 keynote speakers to break down how installers across residential and commercial solar can best demonstrate the value in trends like electrification and storage — aided by digital transformation — while we collectively manage the current economic and legislative climate.”
