Apex Solar achieves company-wide NABCEP accreditation

Apex Solar Power has achieved a milestone shared by a select few solar companies in the United States: company-wide NABCEP accreditation. The North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) is self-described as “the most respected, well-established and widely recognized certification organization for North American solar professionals.” NABCEP is the standard in the solar industry, and an individual installer must become certified in order to qualify as a NYSERDA eligible installer in New York State.

Apex Solar Power has taken this a step further, and instead of just having 1 installer receive certification, they have completed the process and been awarded company-wide NABCEP accreditation, becoming the first and only solar installer in the New York/New England area to have achieved this level of excellence.

According to NABCEP’s website, this makes Apex the 5th installer in the United States to have been awarded accreditation.

Apex Solar Power is headquartered in Queensbury, N.Y., and has satellite offices in Malone, N.Y., Syracuse, New Windsor, N.Y., and Auburn, Mass.

Apex has grown from two employees in 2012 to 132 total employees in multiple offices. Apex was the selected installer for 10 community Solarize programs in the summer of 2015, and was ranked as the #1 Residential Solar PV contractor in New York State and the #1 solar thermal installer in NYS.
