Dynamic Energy Solutions LLC completed a 326-kW rooftop solar PV project at C.H. Powell Company’s facility in Canton, Mass. C.H. Powell is a global logistics services company. The solar system is expected to produce 415,000 kWh of electricity annually, which will offset nearly 80% of the facility’s annual usage. The system is expected to help C.H. Powell Company save an estimated $1.2 million in energy costs over 25 years.
“My company approached this project with a lot of optimism, but also a high degree of anxiety,” noted David Powell, the Treasurer of C.H. Powell Co. “We assessed and profiled all aspects of the undertaking. We chose Dynamic Energy as our vendor based in a large part on their willingness to clearly answer all our questions, and document the process to a comfortable degree of detail. I am pleased to inform that Dynamic Energy delivered as promised.”
The project is also eligible for the Massachusetts SREC Program, which will help C.H. Powell generate significant revenue for the next 15 years. The energy produced by the system will offset approximately 292 metric tons of carbon dioxide annually, equivalent to removing 62 cars from Massachusetts roads or eliminating carbon dioxide emissions from the consumption of nearly 32,818 gallons of gasoline each year.
