Chint Power Systems America delivered six 100-kW central inverters for the winery application at San Joaquin Wine Co. in the Central Valley of California. The CPS inverter is UL-approved, CEC-listed and outdoor rated — ideal for harsh environments and cost sensitive distributed generation solar projects.
The 100-kW inverter platform has been installed across Europe, Asia and America over the last four years with several hundred units shipped worldwide. It boasts excellent field reliability and high uptime making it ideal for mid-sized commercial projects. Also, as a result of CPS America’s industry leading supply chain efficiency, this product leads the industry for lowest cost per watt among UL-approved small central inverters. With $5 billion dollar revenue scale, Chint purchasing leverage and in-house vertical integration provides low costs that can be passed on to customers.
Spectrum Energy Development Inc (SEDI), selected the CPS 100-kW model based on Chint’s reputation for value – the best cost with excellent performance. According to Donald Osborn, President of SEDI, “We chose Chint since we knew we could count on their performance, and they drove down costs that improved our project economics. It’s a win-win-win. We get excellent installed cost, improved performance and great support.” The PV system was dedicated Feb. 8 as part of the Madera Wine Trail Event in Madera, Calif.
“We are delighted that Spectrum Energy Development trusted CPS as their partner and that our inverter value is being realized for customers,” says Casey Miller, Director of Business Development for CPS America.
