That figure is 1.2 miles per gallon higher than 2011 models.<\/p>\n[caption id=\"attachment_315552\" align=\"alignnone\" width=\"385\"]<a href=\"http:\/\/files.cdn.ecowatch.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/efficiency.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Graphic credit: U.S. Environmental Protection Agency\" src=\"http:\/\/files.cdn.ecowatch.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/efficiency.png\" width=\"385\" height=\"345\"><\/a> Graphic credit: U.S. Environmental Protection Agency[\/caption]\n<p>The 1.2-mpg improvement is the second best jump in the last three decades.
