Photo courtesy of Shutterstock\" src=\"http:\/\/files.cdn.ecowatch.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/hemp1.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"300\"><\/a> With their high protein content, healthy omega-3 and -6 fats, fiber and anti-inflammatory properties, hemp seeds are a good way to build up all those essential nutrients in one shot. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.shutterstock.com\/pic-55478791\/stock-photo-antarctic-ice-island-with-penguins-in-atlantic-ocean.html?src=csl_recent_image-1\">Photo courtesy of Shutterstock<\/a>[\/caption]\n<p>Paper, fabric, rope, animal bedding and even building materials can all be made from hemp, which is specifically bred to have no drug value.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ecowatch.com\/2014\/02\/07\/president-signs-farm-bill-legalizing-hemp\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>President Obama Signs Farm Bill Legalizing Industrial Hemp<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Surprisingly though, shoppers are most interested in <a href=\"http:\/\/ecowatch.com\/2013\/11\/18\/5-ways-to-include-superfood-hemp-in-meals\/\" target=\"_blank\">hemp-derived foods<\/a> that contain high amounts of protein and vital omega-3 and -6 nutrients, which are fatty acids that help prevent memory loss and calm stress, according to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.doctoroz.com\/episode\/next-big-weight-loss-superstar?video_id=2851467182001\" target=\"_blank\">Dr. Oz.<\/a>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Entrepreneur Jeremy Koosed has built a business around hemp and its nutritious seeds whose business, <a title=\"Plant Kingdom Bakery and Snackery\" href=\"https:\/\/www.plantkingdombakery.com\/cleves-snaction-heroes-plant-kingdom-outpost-w-no-whey-vegan-chocolates\">Plant Kingdom Bakery and Snackery<\/a>,&nbsp;is tucked inside a Lyndhurst, OH strip mall. Koosed doesn&rsquo;t sell the usual snacks, instead, his shelves are lined with items like Coconut Currant Hemp Bar, Lemon-Salted Hemp Seeds and the popular Goo Ball.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;We sell hemp seeds and toasted seeds and crunchy seeds, the seed oil and shelled hemp seeds and hemp protein,&rdquo; said Koosed on&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ideastream.org\/news\/feature\/59878\" target=\"_blank\">ideastream<\/a>, who continued at length about&nbsp;hemp&#8217;s various uses, such as on salads or in granola, pudding, dips and smoothies.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Once shelled, he said the seeds are quite soft and delectably nutty.<\/p>\n<p>Cleveland Clinic dietician&nbsp;Laura Jeffers, also interviewed on the show, agreed with Koosed regarding hemp&#8217;s benefits.<\/p>\n<p>With their high protein content, healthy fats, fiber and anti-inflammatory properties, she says hemp seeds are a good way to build up all those essential nutrients in one shot.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The demand for hemp products is rising as well.
