The Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) this week illuminated just how far renewable energy has come in the U.S.<\/p>\n

Photovoltaic installations in the U.S. last year were about 15 times greater than they were in 2008, according to SEIA’s Solar Market Insight Report 2013 Year in Review<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“Today, solar is the fastest-growing source of renewable energy<\/a> in America, generating enough clean, reliable and affordable electricity to power more than 2.2 million homes—and we’re just beginning to scratch the surface of our industry’s enormous potential,” SEIA CEO and President Rhone Resch wrote this week<\/a>.<\/p>\n
