He and his <a href=\"http:\/\/www.seashepherd.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Sea&nbsp;Shepherd Conservation Society<\/a> have been doing it for nearly 40 years.<\/p>\n<p>A late-night, cable television got the chance to learn more about Watson&#8217;s mission during the most recent episode of <em>Real Time with Bill Maher.&nbsp;<\/em>He discussed some of his biggest enemies&mdash;Japanese whalers&mdash;and his joy regarding last week&#8217;s International Court of Justice ruling that <a href=\"http:\/\/ecowatch.com\/2014\/03\/31\/court-rules-japans-research-whaling-illegal\/\" target=\"_blank\">Japan&#8217;s &#8220;research whaling&#8221; is illegal<\/a>. It marked a big moment for Watson, who says he has been labeled an &#8220;eco-terrorist&#8221; for years.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m not an eco-terrorist&mdash;I don&#8217;t work for <a href=\"http:\/\/ecowatch.com\/2014\/03\/27\/chicago-mayor-bp-oil-spill\/\" target=\"_blank\">BP<\/a>,&#8221; he said to a round of applause from the studio audience.<\/p>\n[embed]https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Tmel5ebQqcg[\/embed]\n<p>Back in February, chapters of Watson&#8217;s organization hosted <a href=\"http:\/\/ecowatch.com\/2014\/02\/17\/sea-shepherd-rally-end-taiji-dolphin-hunts\/\" target=\"_blank\">&ldquo;World Love for Dolphins Day&rdquo;<\/a> demonstrations in large cities, calling for an end to brutal dolphin hunts in&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/ecowatch.com\/2014\/01\/21\/dolphins-taiji-cove-hunt\/\" target=\"_blank\">Taiji, Japan&rsquo;s killing cove<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Watson has also been jailed for his cause.
