Legend Solar says it’s opening its newest office in the city of Portland, a metropolitan area well known for its focus on sustainability through public transportation, water power and solar energy.
The company is an Elite Dealer for solar panel manufacturer SunPower and recently received the “Residential National Rising Star” award for exceptional customer service, premier system design and installation practices, as well as expert solar knowledge and leadership. Legend Solar handles the entire solar energy purchasing process, which can include system design, installation, maintenance, permitting and rebate processing, as well as advice on flexible financing options. The company just recently brought SunPower systems into Utah.
Legend Solar installations are backed by the company’s excellent customer service, in addition to SunPower’s industry-leading, 25-year product and power warranty.

Often called the “Greenest City in America” because of its well-known environmental conscience, Portland was named by the U.S. Department of Energy as one of 25 Solar America Cities for its promotion of solar technology adoption. And with federal, state and even city solar incentives in place, Portland is an optimal location for business and residential solar customers.
“Portland is often associated with rainy winters, but with an average of 144 days a year of bright, sunny days, this city is an ideal location for Legend Solar,” said Shane Perkins, co-founder and co-owner of the company. “We’re excited to introduce residents to the legendary difference of Legend Solar power.”
Legend Solar has experienced significant growth in Utah. It is now expanding throughout the Intermountain West and the Pacific Northwest, with the opening of its new Portland office, managed by Portland-area locals. Other offices are open in Nevada and will soon be opening in Arizona, Montana, Idaho and Wyoming.
