OutBack Power Technologies, Inc., a designer and manufacturer of advanced power electronics for renewable energy, just launched its new FLEXpower Radian line, which uses the Radian inverter for flexible power scenarios in the next evolution of its pre-wired models.
With the updated package, PV installers can eliminate hours of configuration and installation time and give projects enhanced capabilities and custom settings to best adapt to customers’ unique environments. The result is added features for residential customers who want to take advantage of storing and selling energy when it’s most convenient for them.
Residential interest in solar power and other renewable energy systems is at an all-time high, coinciding with the state incentives and utility policies that make investment in these systems attractive and affordable. To meet the growing demand, installers need equipment that’s easy for them to implement and for their customers to maintain. Preassembled and pretested, OutBack’s FLEXpower Radian allows installers to complete faster, high-quality installations, and at larger voltages when needed, since the main balance-of-system components ship connected in place. Depending on the site, the prebuilt system can save solar professionals as much as half a day in labor to set up.
“Installers seek out solutions that will make their lives and their customers’ lives easier, especially if new technology can help solar pros easily take on more of the business that is rapidly coming their way,” said Mara White, product manager at OutBack Power. “Installers don’t need extra prep or training to wire and test the FLEXpower Radian system, so they can easily plan for the next site as they expand their customer bases.”
OutBack Power’s new FLEXpower Radian anticipates installer and residential needs for future energy scenarios, especially as utility and state policies continue to fluctuate. The platform makes the benefits of OutBack’s advanced Grid/Hybrid inverter technology available in a pre-assembled system, including:
· GridZero operation
· Advanced battery charging
· Dual AC inputs
· Grid-interactive and stand-alone operation in one unit
· System monitoring and control with OPTICS RE
· UL-certified system components
For those at Intersolar this year, OutBack Power will participate in several presentations and trainings:
