Philippe Cousteau and Andrew Revkin joined CNN’s Frank Sesno on Reliable Sources Sunday to discuss the media’s lack of coverage of global climate change. Cousteau, co-founder and president of EarthEcho International, shared his insights on the recent Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change report that shows researchers are more certain than ever that humans are causing climate change and that some of its most dangerous impacts are accelerating faster than expected. Revkin, author of the New York Times’ Dot Earth, discussed concerns that the public and media tend to only cover the role of climate change during dramatic extreme weather events like Typhoon Haiyan.
