SunLink Corporation has been selected to supply racking hardware for the Moapa Solar Project.
The Moapa Solar Project will be the first large-scale solar project built on tribal property, located on the Moapa Paiutes’ Tribal land 30 miles northeast of Las Vegas, Nevada. It will supply power to the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) under a 25-year supply contract that will provide clean power to more than 100,000 homes in its first year of operation alone.
“Our EPC customers choose SunLink not only for the quality of our products, but also for the strength of our engineering expertise,” says SunLink CEO Christopher Tilley. “In the case of the Moapa Solar Project, our structural engineers worked hand-in-hand with our product engineers to enhance our existing Large-Scale GMS system in-line with this project’s unique needs, making it an unbeatable solution. Plus, the sheer volume of product meant we could be very aggressive on pricing – which we hope to be able to replicate for other large-scale customers to advance the deployment of clean solar power generation.”
Delivery is scheduled to begin this month, with first energy delivery anticipated in late 2014.
