SunTegra partners with Northeast construction company to spread solar shingle installs

SunTegraSunTegra (formerly known as Integrated Solar Technology or IST), an original provider of integrated solar roof systems, is partnering with Moonworks, a Rhode Island-based construction company that specializes in gutter helmet, roofing, windows and solar. Through this partnership, Moonworks will begin offering SunTegra Shingle and Tile products to its customers.

Moonworks has built up an impressive solar division over the past few years and has experience with other roof-integrated solar solutions like the Dow POWERHOUSE solar shingle.

“We are fortunate to have partnered with Moonworks because of their superior expertise in offering homeowners both full-service roofing and solar services,” said Mark Paille, Director of Sales and Marketing for SunTegra. “

Moonworks and SunTegra have projects already installed across Rhode Island and Massachusetts with many more planned in the coming year.

Moonworks business model

Moonworks is a unique roofing and solar contractor offering homeowners full-service roofing expertise along with a roof-integrated solar shingle and tile installation. With its combined roofing and solar installation service, Moonworks saves homeowners money while providing a roof-integrated solar solution that is vastly preferred for its visual appeal.

“We are thrilled to offer solar roofing as a core competency of our business” said Matt Weiner, GM of Moonworks Solar. “Solar roofing helps homeowners take advantage of tax incentives to reduce their utility bills, help the environment and raise the overall value of their homes. We look to support home owners in their roof purchasing decisions, educating them on the value that solar roofing can provide versus traditional roofing materials.”

SunTegra products

SunTegra Shingles and SunTegra Tiles offer customers a viable and cost-effective way to seamlessly integrate solar into their roofs. SunTegra products attach directly to roof decking or battens, and function both as a solar panel and a roofing material. Both products are UL 1703 certified and carry a Class A fire rating.

SunTegra offers the SunTegra Shingles and SunTegra Tiles to homeowners and businesses via a partnership network of solar integrators, roofers, and contractors across the US.
