tenKsolar, groSolar Connect 4-MW Ground-Mount to Grid

The ground-mounted installation was developed by tenKsolar, designed and constructed by groSolar, and is owned by a subsidiary of Integrys Energy Services. A portion of the solar farm uses highly productive photovoltaic solar modules manufactured in Minnesota by tenKsolar. The tenK system is expected to deliver 38 percent more energy per acre than the traditional system and in total, the solar farm will supply enough energy to power about 600 homes.

tenk Ashburnham Municipal Light Plant (AMLP) is purchasing the power generated from the project under a 20-year power purchase agreement.

“TenK would like to thank AMLP and the Town of Ashburnham for their cooperation in making this project a reality and providing hundreds of households the benefit of clean, reliable energy, said Jack Levi, managing partner, tenKsolar.  It is tenK’s privilege to provide a highly efficient solar system that will generate energy for decades to come.”

Dan Smies, manager of solar business development at Integrys Energy Services, applauded Ashburnham’s public officials for their efforts to provide AMLP ratepayers with the economic benefits from this solar project. “This is another model solar project for Massachusetts,” said Smies.
