Yolo Federal Credit Union announced today that they have received LEED certification (Silver) for their downtown Davis branch located at 501 G St.
The LEED rating system, developed by the U.S. Green Building Council, is the foremost program for buildings, homes and communities that are designed, constructed, maintained and operated for improved environmental and human health performance.
“We are honored that our Davis branch has been recognized and received LEED certification,” stated Clyde Brooker, President/CEO of Yolo FCU. “We worked diligently to incorporate a variety of sustainable features during the planning and construction of this new facility. We are proud that this building has less impact on our environment and is also a beautiful addition to downtown Davis.”
“Yolo FCU’s LEED certification demonstrates tremendous green building leadership,” said Rick Fedrizzi, president, CEO & Founding Chair, U.S. Green Building Council. “The urgency of USGBC’s mission has challenged the industry to move faster and reach further than ever before, and Yolo FCU as a prime example with just how much we can accomplish.”
