Choosing the right platform for solar panels is a critical step in the design process and can have significant impact on both initial and long-term costs. This free course discusses the basics of photovoltaic systems, including the components and rooftop applications. Comparisons between traditional roofing and standing seam metal roofing platforms will be examined, along with the benefits of a non-penetrating clamping system.
The new course can provide professionals Continuing Educational Credits for the following organizations: AIA, GBCI, AIBD, AIC, BOMI, CCIDC, FBPE, InterNACHI, NAHB, NARI, RCEP and RMMI. Canadian architects can also receive credit through the AAA, AANB, AIBC, CSC, NLAA, NWTAA, OAA, OAQ and SAA. This course offers a one-hour Health, Safety and Welfare (HSW) credit for most of the named organizations.
