Portland, Ore. – Green Building Initiative (GBI) is pleased to announce that the first comment period is open through July 5 on GBI’s Green Globes® for Existing Buildings 2021 or, the draft standard titled BSR/GBI 02-202x, Green Globes Assessment Protocol for Existing Buildings. The draft standard supports assessment of sustainability, health and wellness, and resilience of existing buildings and will be refined through public participation over two to three years. It is targeted to be an approved American National Standard and published by GBI and the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) at the end of 2023. The schedule for review of the draft standard and the public comment form can be found on GBI’s website at www.thegbi.org/ansi.
The roster of seated consensus body members for GBI’s existing buildings draft standard, as well as applications for the consensus body, subcommittees, and task groups, are also available on GBI’s website.
The public comment form includes detailed instructions on how to submit comments. Please submit comments using this form by July 5, 2021 to comment@thegbi.org.
