Sunnova adds QuickBOLT solar mounts to approved vendor list

QuickBOLT solar mounts have been added to the Sunnova Energy International Inc. approved vendor list (AVL), making the QB2, Deck Mount, The Throne and many more solar mounting SKUs available to Sunnova dealers.

“We are excited to bring our industry-leading solar mounts to Sunnova dealers,” said Aaron Robbins, Communications Manager of QuickBOLT. “Our inclusion on the Sunnova AVL represents another acknowledgment of the simplicity and reliability of QuickBOLT mounting solutions. It’s an important step in our mission to solve problems for solar installers.”

Sunnova partnership

Sunnova Energy International Inc., founded in Houston, Texas, in 2012, is committed to pioneering the energy transition through its adaptive energy platform, delivering better energy service at a better price to power energy independence.

In March, Sunnova entered a strategic partnership with The Home Depot to be the sole provider of solar and battery storage services in over 2,000 Home Depot stores across the United States.

“We are thrilled to become the exclusive provider for home solar and battery storage services for The Home Depot, a company that shares our commitment to providing an unparalleled customer experience,” said Michael Grasso, Executive Vice President, Chief Revenue Officer at Sunnova. “We understand that rethinking how you power your home is a critical decision, and now shoppers at The Home Depot stores nationwide will have easy access to Sunnova’s solar and storage offerings.”

QuickBOLT solar mounts

QuickBOLT, a division of Quickscrews International, is renowned for its thoughtfully designed mounts that solve common installer issues, reduce time on the roof, and eliminate errors, making solar installations faster, safer, and more efficient.

The Butyl Bottom Deck Mount from QuickBOLT recently received Notice of Acceptance (NOA) approval from Miami-Dade County. This approval (Miami-Dade County, Florida. NOA 23-1122.07. Expires 04/25/2029) signifies that Butyl Bottom Deck Mount has met and surpassed the rigorous testing requirements mandated by Miami-Dade County for building products and materials, particularly in high-velocity hurricane zones.

QuickBOLT also has solar mounts for non-traditional roof types. This episode of The Pitch looks at their stone-coated steel option, for example.

“Most stone-coated steel roofs are installed with battens on the roof so that they can kind of overlap or rest in an organized, level way,” says Mikey Wiener, marketing manager, in the video. “We had to come up with this kind of funky design to come up over the batten and over the overlap of the panel, and then back out for it to work in a way that doesn’t damage the roofing material on top — because you have such an awesome, strong steel roof, why would you want to put screws through that or cut a hole through that? It didn’t make any sense, so we worked with manufacturers to really come up with this. This is our adjustable hook, but we have fixed hooks as well.”
