Applied Energy Technologies racking tapped for 22.6 MW Utah install

Applied Energy Technologies (AET) a supplier of utility-scale racking systems, was selected by Swinerton Renewable Energy to provide its Rayport-G ECO mounting system for the 22.6 MW installation in Utah’s Beaver and Iron counties.

applied energy technologiesThe planned ‘Seven Sisters’ solar projects includes seven separate solar PV projects, four of which are to be sited in Beaver County and three to be located in Iron County, Utah. Construction began early 2015 with a target completion date of Q3 2015. The projects will use more than 74,000, 305-watt solar panels. Once complete, the combined generating capacity of all seven projects will be 40,000 MWh per year, or equivalent to the electricity use of more than 4,000 Utah homes per year.

AET was selected based on its quality racking solutions, competitive price point, customer service and reputation of delivering on time and on budget.

“We are honored to have been selected by Swinerton and look forward to supporting more of their solar power plants,” said Aaron Faust, VP of Development at AET.

The Rayport-G ECO is a nice solution for developers and EPCs looking for a ground-mount system that is easy to install, scalable and delivers significant savings on total installed costs. The Rayport-G ECO is strong and durable, having been engineered to withstand the most challenging environmental conditions. It is also light and compact, allowing for high shipping density, significantly reducing freight costs and enabling easier handling on the job site.

Swinerton Renewable Energy is the EPC on the project. With more than 650 MW in installations, Swinerton specializes in utility-scale solar power solutions.
